Garry's Guide Privacy Policy

Garry's Guide is operated by Garry's List. This policy covers the optional text-message signup on the voter guide.

What we collect

If you enter a phone number and manually select the text-message consent box, we record the number, the disclosure you agreed to, the time, the form's web address, your IP address, and your browser's user agent. If you leave the box unchecked, the guide does not record the phone number from that form.

How we use it

We use a number submitted with consent for Garry's List text messages about campaign information, event reminders, and donation solicitations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can also contact hello@garryslist.org.

SMS data sharing

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.

We do not share or sell mobile numbers or other information collected through this SMS signup form to third parties unless required by law. This promise applies to the guide's SMS signup even where Garry's List's general policy describes other sharing of personal information.
