Bay Area Elections
→ Jump to the Statewide Propositions (Props 1–5, 37–45)
Local elections shape our daily lives. Although they impact schools, housing, public safety, and neighborhood resources, they rarely come with the daily headlines, prime-time debates, or accessible coverage of statewide and national campaigns. Most ballots are crowded with unfamiliar names and technical-sounding measures, and even engaged voters can feel overwhelmed. It's rarely apathy that keeps people from participating fully, but a lack of trustworthy, navigable guidance.
This voter guide is our attempt to close that gap. While it doesn't represent the direct endorsements of Garry Tan, it synthesizes the recommendations of trusted Garry's List community partners — groups with deep local roots who share our commitment to accountable leadership, safe communities, opportunity, and educational excellence. The goal isn't to tell you how to vote, but to give you the tools to make informed decisions about your community.
This guide started in the Bay Area, but we're building it for all of California. If there are groups you already trust, send them our way. We're building what you've asked for — and evolving it with your feedback. Reach us at hello@garryslist.org or on X.

Manny Yekutiel suspended his campaign on Oct. 1, 2026, after new sexual-assault allegations. His name stays on the ballot because the deadline to remove it has passed. Mayor Lurie and Abundant SF withdrew their endorsements, and Lurie says he will not endorse anyone in D8. The SF Democratic Party meets Oct. 11 to reconsider its endorsement.
Suspended his campaign Oct. 1, 2026; name remains on the ballot.
